What You Can Do - Easter Service

In a few weeks (April
4th) we're going to have our Easter services at The Bridge Church. I'd like to encourage you to start praying for and thinking about who you are going to invite to church with you on that day.
The message I will be preaching on Easter morning is called,
"Time
For A Fresh Start" and it is a perfect message to invite someone who is looking for hope in these desperate times.

Do you have a relative, neighbor, friend or co-worker you'd like to see come to Christ this Easter? People are always more likely to be open to your invitation at Easter than at any other time of year, so don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to invite them to our church services!

Here's how you can help The Bridge Church grow this Easter:

1. Ask God to show you who to invite.

   2. Then bring your friends, family members or co-workers with you to our Easter service at 10:00 am on Easter Sunday.

   3. Use the "Tell A Friend" tool we have provided on our website (as well as below) to send those you know an invitation to our Easter Service. Use a doorhanger or invite card which you can pick up for FREE at our information table. I would also suggest that you attach one of our give-a-way Bridge pens to the doorhanger
	or invite card.

   4. Participate in our day of fasting and prayer during the week of
March 28th. Just pick a day in that week to fast for God in preparation for our Easter service. You are also encouraged to do a prayer walk or drive in your community.
If you don't know how to do this you can pick a guide up at our prayer
	table.

Pray for the 5000 families that we are going to invite
to our Easter service from our community through a specially designed
	full-color Easter postcard.

Pray that dozens of new people will come to The Bridge Church and commit their lives to Christ this Easter.

   5. On Easter Sunday fill out the brief "Spiritual Survey" that we take every year at Easter at the end of the service - so guests will see you do it and feel comfortable doing it too.

6. One last thing you can do is help us welcome everyone at church on Easter Sunday. There will be many first-time guests with us that day. Please help them with directions to the information table, refreshments, classrooms or Kidz Bridge Easter activities. Also, don't forget to encourage your guests to fill out their Connection Card so they can receive their FREE
	book from The Bridge Church.

This Easter we are planning a great worship service. It's going to be an amazing day!
Our Kidz Bridge will also have an Easter Egg hunt and a wonderful Easter Bible
lesson.

Thank you for everything you are doing and will do to help The Bridge Church reach our community for Christ.

Discover Hope
This EasterThe hope found in the Easter story is
not like anything you've ever heard before. It's not dependent on how hard we
work, how much we have, or how smart we are—actually, it's not dependent on us
at all. It's all about what happened when God showed up on earth and decided you
were worth dying for. Come to The Bridge Church Name this Easter, and discover a
hope that never ends.

News About Bridge Church Building - Building News

This last Sunday I spoke to our church family about the
need for us to have our own building and property. Below you will find the text
of what I said. I'd like you to read it and then prayerfully consider how God
would want you to respond.

**********************

This year The Bridge will celebrate our fifth anniversary
together as a church. For the past five years we have been portable, which means
every Sunday we have had to set up and take down everything needed to have a
church service.

We began with just 4 people meeting in the Jackson's
family room. Today we have 100 people meeting each week at Santiago High School.

We have met in 10 different locations in the City of
Corona and even carried all our equipment in an 8 x 16 foot trailer each week to
these locations. Today it is all stored in a container on the school property.

But the time has come for us to make some very important
and necessary decisions. Our goal has always been to have a building and
property of our own. We have been constantly looking and have investigated
dozens of locations in Norco, Corona and Lake Elsinore.

Several months ago we found a building for lease in South
Corona just off the 15 freeway on the corner of Temescal Canyon Road and Dawson
Canyon Road in Corona located at 23215 Temescal Canyon Road, Suite A, Corona.

It is a 4,623 square foot large industrial building with
a frontage view. This location is 1.5 miles away from the nearest church
(Carpenter's House) and is also located across from Rinker's which has been sold
and will eventually become a Super K-Mart.

While the building is smaller than desired, it will
provide us with the minimum amount of space needed for our church as long as we
make some modifications.

We submitted a proposed bid to the owner for an average
of .52 per sq. ft. over a three year period and the owner has accepted our
offer. The base rent looks like this:

Months
Per Square Foot
Per Month Gross

        01 Early
Occupancy No charge

	02-12
	¢.48 per sq. ft.
	$2,220.00
	13-24
	¢.50 per sq. ft.
	$2,312.50
	25-37
	¢.52 per sq. ft.
	$2,405.00

This base price does not include costs for water,
electricity, county fees or start-up costs. When we add in the extra monthly
fees our monthly costs will be almost the same as what we are presently paying.
The average cost for renting our present facility is $3,412 a month. But the
added benefit of having our own building includes:

Not having to set-up or take down the church every
	week.
The ability to use the building at any time or any
	day for any event 24/7.
Having our own building (not a school, library, gym,
movie theater, or banquet hall) gives people a more stable feeling about our
church and will contribute to our numerical growth.

While our monthly offerings have been very low over the
past few months, we have been able to pay our basic bills. However, we do not
have the ability to cover any start-up costs. We estimate these will be $40,000.
I know this is a lot of money but we believe we have the ability to raise these
needed funds. How?

If 100 people gave $400 each

If 50 people gave $800 each

If 25 people gave $1,600 each

Last week one family contributed $1,900 towards this fund
which leaves us $38,100 to go!

Some of you may not be able to make a financial
contribution because of your own financial difficulties. But there may be others
who are able to make a substantial contribution. Maybe you even have friends or
family members that have come to The Bridge Church or heard about us through you
and would like to make a contribution.

Many people have also suggested that individual families
and small groups in our church could also have yard sales or a recycling drive
and give the proceeds to this fund.

We are also looking into having a concert which would
include several bands, including our own and invite the public to attend and ask
for a donation to this fund. We will also look into doing a church wide dinner
night (friends included) at a local restaurant that will give us 20-30% back.

We know this is a very difficult time to try to raise
$40,000 but we also believe our God is a big God and that He can help us reach
this goal.

For several years now we have looked at many different
available buildings but for many different reasons we haven't been able to move
into them. One of the major reasons is because we just haven't had the funds to
do it. No matter if we are able to get into the building we are presently
looking at or not, we will eventually need to have the necessary start up costs
available in order to get into a building. So now is the time to start raising
the funds!

Thank you for what you are already doing to support the
Bridge Church with your time, talents and treasure. Thank you God in advance for
helping us reach our goal!

Pastor Mark

P.S. If you're interested in joining us on a tour of the
building, please let us know as we'll be taking people to the building
next Sunday afternoon, February 28th, following take down of our
services.

*********************

Now that you have read our plan for raising the funds
needed to move into our own facility I'd like you to prayerfully consider how
God would want you to respond to help your church family.

On Sunday morning after one of our members read this in
the church bulletin, they took me off to the side and told me that they were
pledging to give $2,000 towards this fund!

If you would like to make a contribution to this special building fund you
may do so by either writing a check to The Bridge Church or if you wish, you can
also do it online through our Google account. You can access this on our church
website on our
Make
A Donation page. Be sure to use The Bridge Church Building Fund Donate
button.

New New Teen Class

Come Check Us Out!

A new 11 week summer Teen class has started at The Bridge Church and it is designed just for teens.

We'll be discussing the importance of relationships. Relationships with parents,
friends and the opposite sex ... and, the more important one, ... relationship
with God.

Our teens will be taught by experienced teen teachers and learn from three
video-driven Bible studies that focus on the three key relationships that every
teen faces...
God

Parents, and

The opposite sex

The videos will share interviews of over 20 teenagers from
across the country to hear their candid and vulnerable stories.

The lessons topics are as follows:

I Am - Getting to Know God

If
you could ask God one question, what would it be? How can God love me when I've
done so much wrong? How do I know God is speaking to me? How can God be real and
ignore all the bad things that happen? Teens are struggling with very difficult
questions and doubts.
This is a sample of the video curriculum that the children will be watching. They also have exciting songs they sing along with and activities they participate in.

Video access is dependant upon your Internet speed. Press the play button and adjust the sound.

This player will play in most Browsers. In order to play it in Firefox you must download the Firefox plug-in.

Teens v. Parents

What
If You Had the Perfect Relationship With Your Parents?

The myth of a perfect family can lead to disappointment, frustration and anger.
There is no perfect family. But many teenagers struggle with expectations and
authority from their parents.

In these four video sessions, Mark Matlock will give practical and Biblical
instruction to teens to help repair and build healthy relationship with their
parents.

Sex. Dating.

What
Does the Bible Say About Dating?

The Bible doesn't tell us how to ask someone out and Scripture doesn't say what
the perfect date would look like. But God gives clear guidance on how we should
treat our bodies and how we should treat others … including the opposite sex.

In these four video sessions, Hayley and Michael DiMarco use practical and
Biblical guidelines to help teens figure out how to build healthy relationships
with the opposite sex.
