The animals are the main characters of Zooplosion. Kidz Bridge will watch the Bible Stories through the eyes of the animals in the Bible and see how God always provides. Then we will see "what might have happened" and learn that things work out better when we follow God's plan.LESSON 1 Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God has given us everything and we should take care of what God has given us. Jackson the founding pastor of The Bridge Church in Corona was born October 18, 1953 in Rhinebeck, New York. As a youngster, he was raised in a Catholic home. However, in 1974, at 21 years of age, while serving in the U.S. Navy, he heard the gospel and began his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He was immediately baptized and discipled in a conservative Baptist Church. Within a few short months of completing his duty with the Navy, he enrolled in the California Missionary Baptist Seminary where he obtained his Th.B. in 1978 (Major: Theology, Minor: Bible Languages), Th.M. in 1989 and Th.D. in 1990. Dr. Jackson also served on the faculty of the Seminary from 1986 to 1993. During his many years of ministry, Dr. Jackson has served as Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in three Southern California churches. In 1997, God led him to Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California where he and his wife Debra became members and learned of the purpose-driven church philosophy. In March 2004 Pastor Jackson accepted God's call to plant a new purpose driven nondenominational church in the city of Corona. After much prayer and research The Bridge Church In Corona was incorporated on July 1, 2004 with 4 people. On Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 7:00 pm we held our first small group meeting at Pastor Jackson's house and had 9 people in attendance. On Sunday morning August 15, 2004 we held our first worship service on the patio of the Jackson's house and had fourteen people attend. On Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 The Bridge Church celebrated a grand opening. Copper Counts is non-profit branch of The Bridge Church in Corona and has several goals: Copper Counts is committed to providing funds necessary to purchase land and construct a campus for The Bridge Church in Corona. Copper Counts is committed to create a legacy of fund raising for the local community's needs such as: new school equipment, hospital equipment, food and clothing for the needy, sponsoring world-wide hunger relief and financial support for other non-profit organizations within the Inland Empire as well as disaster relief for families in local communities. Copper Counts is a simple strategy of encouraging people to donate one (1) penny a day every day. The concept is simple but powerful. One penny is virtually useless by itself yet-when combined with the strength of thousands or millions of other pennies, their impact can be profound. Copper Counts teaches our children and the people of our community that pennies count because people count. Think about it. Thirty cents a month - just $3.65 a year and here's the real catch...Copper Counts accepts nothing but pennies. That's right. No checks, no cash just pennies! Copper Counts does not even accept loose change (quarters, dimes or nickels). Why? Because Copper Counts is committed to helping people develop a penny perspective.
